Primary Purpose:

To provide for the delivery of technical assistance and professional development in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of activities that address the unique needs of the Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in the area of Secondary Math. Utilize an effective and efficient planning process based on pertinent student, campus, and district data sources for the purpose of assisting LEAs in instructional improvement and the meeting of LEA and ESC accountability requirements. Specifically supporting our districts as they prepare students for Algebra I End of Course Exams.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Provides effective, research-based secondary math instructional support and coaching for Region campuses and districts aligned with the ESC model. Accurately documents technical assistance. Delivers essential professional development, utilizing expertise to enhance instructional practices, with a focus on designing and delivering engaging sessions, whether face-to-face or through alternative methods.
  2. Provides content, best practices and pedagogical expertise in technical assistance and professional development to support improvement of instructional practices for monitoring and evaluating student learning
  3. Collaborates with colleagues in and beyond the ESC to identify professional development needs through detailed data analysis and self-reflection to provide quality services to customers that positively impact student learning
  4. Sets, modifies, and meets short- and long-term professional goals based on

self-assessment, reflection, peer and supervisor feedback, contemporary research, and analysis of student learning

 

  1. Provides state-mandated trainings, if applicable
  2. Creates ongoing collegial relationships with customers
  3. Travels as a part of job responsibilities
  4. Maintains a functioning cell phone and is accessible through this phone as deemed appropriate by the A functioning cell phone means that it is charged, activated, messages checked, and mailbox emptied regularly

  7. Maintains a professional level of confidentiality regarding all ESC matters
  8. Supports the ESC Manifesto: mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC strategic plan
  9. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC safety program
  10. Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures (e.g. technical assistance, time and effort, etc.)
  11. Manages time, calendar, and job responsibilities to meet deadlines
  12. Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
  13. Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor
  14. Performs other duties as assigned
