Primary Purpose:

Coordinate and/or provide supplemental instructional support for Title I, Part C eligible students. Provide comprehensive technical assistance and targeted training to district personnel to ensure the effective implementation and compliance of Title I, Part C program requirements. Support statewide quality control of all documentation recording a child’s eligibility for Title I, Part C.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Coordinate and provide supplemental instructional intervention services to eligible migratory students during the regular school year and over summer to enhance migrant student achievement.
  2. Provides training and technical assistance to districts on federal requirements for Title I Part C education programs.
  3. Attends and participates in regional migrant parent meetings when requested.
  4. Assists in the selection and use of all available resources and develops additional supplemental resources to target migrant student needs.
  5. Plans and organizes activities as specified to meet student needs.
  6. Determines and utilizes technology resources to assist migrant students with supplemental instructional assistance as appropriate.
  7. Plans and guides supplemental summer programs to support and enhance migrant student achievement.
  8. Perform scheduled reviews of random samples of Certificates of Eligibility (COEs) and Texas New Generation System (TX-NGS) enrollment lines from across the state to ensure data accuracy in documenting migratory child eligibility.
  9. Provide ongoing technical assistance and targeted training across the state to address errors or findings identified during quality control reviews.
  10. Collaborate with the TXMEP Systems team to create and maintain resources improving ID&R across the state.
  11. Maintains documentation to support ESC's and SSA's adherence to program requirements. 
  12. Travels as a part of job responsibilities.
  13. Maintains a functioning cell phone and is accessible through this phone as deemed appropriate by the service area director.  A functioning cell phone means that it is charged, activated, messages checked, and mailbox emptied regularly.
  14. Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities.
  15. Performs duties that directly and/or indirectly impact student performance in Region 16.
  16. Maintains a professional level of confidentiality regarding all ESC matters.
  17. Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC strategic plan.
  18. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC safety program.
  19. Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures.
  20. Manages time, calendar, and job responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  21. Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor.
  22. Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor.
