Primary Purpose:

The Field Services Project Manager provides district leadership and support by managing projects, fostering collaborative relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance district operations and student success. This role serves as a trusted resource, promoting ESC programs and services, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and aligning technology and leadership initiatives with the evolving needs of districts, all while maintaining a strong commitment to excellence, compliance, and professional growth.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Manage projects throughout the project management life-cycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  2. Conduct pre-engagement conversations with district personnel to identify needs, establish objectives, and plan solutions.
  3. Facilitate dynamic communication with stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and progress throughout projects.
  4. Provide post-engagement milestone updates and deliver comprehensive after-action reports to stakeholders.
  5. Serve as an on-site and virtual resource to districts, promoting products and services and identifying solutions to save districts time and money while building relationships and opportunities.
  6. Coordinate with various ESC personnel to stay informed about programs, services, and resources available to districts.
  7. Market ESC programs and services to district and campus personnel to ensure awareness of available opportunities.
  8. Serve as a liaison to superintendents and district leaders, providing information and guidance regarding ESC services and state-level initiatives.
  9. Maintain communication linkages with district superintendents and other personnel to provide ongoing updates and guidance.
  10. Participate in professional development activities to maintain knowledge and expertise in all areas of responsibility.
  11. Regularly evaluate district needs and recommend appropriate ESC services and products.
  12. Develop and manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and third parties to enhance business operations and strategic initiatives.
  13. Maintains a functioning phone and is accessible through this phone as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director. A functioning cell phone means that it is charged, activated, messages checked, and mailbox emptied regularly.
  14. Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities.
  15. Performs duties that directly and/or indirectly impact student performance in Region 16.
  16. Maintains a professional level of confidentiality regarding all ESC matters.
  17. Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC strategic plan.
  18. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC safety program.
  19. Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures.
  20. Manages time, calendar, and job responsibilities to meet deadlines. 
  21. Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor.
  22. Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor.
  23. Performs other duties as assigned.
