Primary Purpose:

 

This position’s primarily role will be to support work with the Texas Center for Student Support (TCSS).

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Supports districts who are a part of the Stronger Connections Grant and ESCs with the Texas Center for Student Support. 
  2. Helps LEAs and ESCs implement effective student support structures.
  3. Works with the TCSS team and TEA to develop training and resources for the Student Support Framework.
  4. Serves as a SCG Advisory Group liaison and trainer to deliver content co-created by TCSS and to gather feedback from various stakeholders.
  5. Communicates effectively to provide up-to-date information to district/campus personnel regarding developments, initiatives, and priorities at the state and federal level.
  6. Coordinates professional development and technical assistance to stakeholders across the state. 
  7. Maintains knowledge and skills in the area of school safety and mental health by engaging in ongoing professional development.
  8. Travels as a part of job responsibilities.
  9. Maintains a functioning cell phone and is accessible through this phone as deemed appropriate by the service area director. A functioning cell phone means that it is charged, activated, messages checked, and mailbox emptied regularly.
  10. Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities.
  11. Performs duties that directly and/or indirectly impact student performance in Region 16.
  12. Maintains a professional level of confidentiality regarding all ESC matters.
  13. Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC strategic plan.
  14. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC safety program.
  15. Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures.
  16. Manages time, calendar, and job responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  17. Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor.
  18. Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor.
  19. Performs other duties as assigned.
