Region 16 ESC is looking for a Technology Support Assistant I to enhance the operations of Region 16 Education Service Center’s (ESC) staff by offering dedicated hardware and software support. The Technology Support Assistant I is committed to maintaining superior customer service and consistent availability. The ideal candidate is self-driven, excels in collaborative environments, and can effectively work independently when needed. Strong organizational skills are essential, enabling them to share information adeptly, actively listen, and apply given instructions.

Major Responsibilities and Duties: 

  1. Provides first-tier technical assistance to Region 16 ESC personnel.
  2. Maintains an accurate inventory of all hardware purchased by the ESC at Cleveland and Nelson campus locations.
  3. Maintains an accurate inventory of all hardware purchased by the ESC for all remote users by working with the Coordinator of Fiscal Programs.
  4. Assists in the distribution of ESC computer hardware, peripherals, and supplies.
  5. Assists in coordinating the classrooms, computers, software, and the network for use by workshop presenters.
  6. Assists in software-related training to ESC personnel.
  7. Provides technical assistance and support as needed for visitors to the ESC.
  8. Provides technical assistance as it relates to workshop training.
  9. Periodic travel required.
  10. Maintains a functioning cell phone and is accessible through this phone as deemed appropriate by the Coordinator of Technology Operations. A functioning cell phone means that it is charged, activated, messages checked, and the mailbox emptied regularly.
  11. Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities.
  12. Performs duties that directly and/or indirectly impact student performance in Region 16.
  13. Maintains a professional level of confidentiality regarding all ESC matters.
  14. Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC strategic plan.
  15. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC safety program.
  16. Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures.
  17. Manages time, calendar, and job responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  18. Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor.
  19. Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned.
